We interupt your irregular programming on account of Valentine's Day

Well, Specters, it's Tell-Tale Heart Day. For those of you lucky enough to have a significant other who shares your love of the Dark Side, I'd suggest some reading of Edgar Allan Poe ("Anabell Lee" and "The Oblong Box" work well), maybe going to a screening of "The Woman in Black" (I saw it last night, EXCELLENT Gothic ghost story), or just playing a favorite vampire film at home (if it's Twilight, I hereby banish you from my blog).

Now, for those who, like me, don't have a girl/guy to spend the day with, you might consider taking a leaf out of my book and attempt to stage a kidnapping at the nearest opera house. Or, if black capes and white masks aren't your style, I found a documentery on YouTube that might point you in a helpful direction:

In closing, I thought I'd share a rariety with you all: A Death Metal love song (I know, I didn't think it was possible either!)

Happy Valentines, Specters.

My Leave of Absence draws to a close

Esteemed Specters;

I am writing this from the bowels of Hades. I needed a break, and a fresh dose of inspiration, and so went to stay with my Uncle Wormwood. I apologize for the lack of posts, but the Wifi in the 9th Circle is spotty at best. During my stay, I have met many rich, interesting characters, and visited many fascinating places, such as the last remaining Hellmouth on Earth (hint: it’s under Washington, D.C.). Sadly, I have heard the Siren’s Call to return to the “Real World”, and so must heed it. It will be good to be back in action on Earth, ready to spread the seeds of horror in the fields of the mundane. I feel ready to try new things, and take new directions. You might have noticed I’ve made a few changes around the blog regarding its appearance. This is not the only change headed this way; I intend to cease focusing exclusively on Hallowe’en. Don’t worry, it will still be a frequent topic on here, but I also wish to expand my topic horizon to include other subjects including horror cinema & literature, dark art, morbid music, and whatever macabre monstrosities cross my mind. I will expand on my reasons and modus operandi in a later post. I must finish this post now, because the Hellevator has just started working again and I must hurry if I am to cross the River Styx on schedule. I wish you well, Specters, and hope to post again soon.

From Here to World’s Edge,

Damian, AKA HalloweeNut
